All-American Ads

Milo
Charms
Vogue

We needed to research some advertising from the early 1900's today and found this book, All-American Ads 1900-1919. Nearly all the work is created by hand and as a result each piece has a really beautiful unique quality. It's surprising how some of the styles and messages are still so relevant today.

Charms! In the early 1950s on my way to school I would stop at a store and buy a package of Charms. They were 5¢ then. My favorite flavor was Root Beer.

I don't think we've ever had Charms here in the UK. We don't get Root Beer either, we're so deprived!
