Topshop jodhpurs

Poor Topshop, it's so unlike them to get left behind, but it's taken forever for them to come up with their version of the Balenciaga jodhpurs. Trouble is, having already bought the Gap ones a couple of months ago, I'm just not that interested anymore. And is it me or does the waistband (for jodhpurs anyway) seem a touch too high?

Paint it white

I love this photo, found in Streetwalker on fashionista.com The girl is a model called Anja Rubik, snapped on Place de la Concorde, Paris.

I think the jeans are bleached but they could be painted maybe? Either way, I think I might invest in an exceptionally cheap pair of jeans and do a little experimenting. Also, how fab are those boots?!

Brown Brogues

The other day I saw a girl wearing the furry Topshop jacket, blue jeans and battered, flat, brown brogues. Now I'm searching ebay for a pair in my size... no luck yet. I think I'll skip the fur and swap the blue jeans for my current favourite pale grey ones. My oversized pearls would be the perfect accessory.

I'll take the boots and the carpet please

Mr Ghesquière is driving me insane with the most beautiful, yet totally unobtainable footwear. These strappy leather gladiator boots are from from Balenciaga's S/S 08 collection and I love them. If I managed to get a pair, I wonder if they'd let me have some of that carpet to stand on too?

Knee Socks

I love the Prada knee socks with their pretty contrasting bands, I bought myself a pair inspired by them from Tabio at least a couple months ago (thank you Queen Michelle). They still haven't made it onto my legs and out of the house, but tomorrow could be the day. I think I might finally know how to wear them...

the colour purple

This winter I keep buying purple things, so far I have a roll neck, a vest top, tights and a cute bobble hat. The inspiration for my obsession is the purple Balenciaga blazer (actually I love all of the Balenciaga blazers) and it looks perfect with army green jodhpurs.

I also found this great poster for the 1985 film The Color Purple It looks more 70s to me though, it's cool.

Foals artwork

Foals artwork is great. I even bought the t-shirt after their gig a few weeks back and t-shirts aren't really my thing. This is the cover for the new single Balloons and I can't wait until they launch their website, and an album too for that matter.

So this is the difficult first post. Lets get it out of the way. I want this blog to be a place where I can collate all the things that I like. Hopefully you'll enjoy some of them too.
