And fly away from here

Hello! It's been a long time, I know... anyway the bad news is I won't be blogging here anymore. The good news (hopefully!) is that I have a new blog, And fly away from here. It isn't really going to be so much about style (maybe just a little bit!) so I'll understand if you don't follow me there. But it will be about graphic design and the things I make and do. A very big thank you to all the people who have stayed subscribed even though I haven't updated in months. And another very big thank you to everyone who has visited and commented and helped make White Writing something I am very proud of! xxxx

I'm going to take a break from blogging for a while, it's been the last thing on my mind recently and it's started to feel more like pressure than pleasure! We are still busy puppy proofing our home as much as we can and mentally preparing for little Chloé's arrival next week. I'll try and keep up with you all and I plan to be back soon! Bye for now xx

Puppy Love

Here is the cute furry little reason my posts (and comments - sorry!) have been very thin on the ground recently. We've decided to get a puppy! Mr Brown has had a dog before but I haven't and there is an unbelievable amount of preparation and learning to do. I imagine it's a lot like preparing to have a baby! She's a German Shepherd so she's going to be a big girl, we really need to get her training right early on so we can all have a happy life together.

We've decided to call her Chloé because when I was little we had a cat called Zoe but my Grandmother thought she was called Chloé. I always wished we had called her Chloé! I think she's the most beautiful pup I've ever seen! There are more photos and a video on flickr if you're interested.

She'll be coming to live with us in a few weeks, so hopefully I'll have plenty of time between now and then to catch up with you all!

Is it Autumn yet?

Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but there is some seriously inspiring stuff on the Autumn 2008 catwalk. I'm just skimming the surface with these picks, I've barely started going through the collections but I'm sure there's plenty more to come. It's so exciting! I can't wait to start piling on the layers and experimenting with lace and fur and tartan! I'm not into real fur though, if I try one of the gorgeous fur looks it will definitely be faux (just thought I should mention that!).

Lost

I'm really annoyed that I lost my little pinky ring today! It wasn't valuble in the monetary sense but I've worn it for about three and a half years (I even slept in it!) so I feel like it's seen a lot of things with me. Sentimental aren't I?! I've already ordered a new one though, another plain silver D band, because my hand just feels wrong without it!
